PROBLEMS AND RISKS OF FORMING FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF FUTURE TOURISM SPECIALISTS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of problems and risks that arise in the process of forming foreign language professional competence of future tourism specialists. The purpose of the article is to study the problems and risks of forming foreign language professional competence of future tourism specialists. In the course of the scientific research, general scientific methods of cognition were used, in particular analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization and comparison. The results of the study show that a comprehensive analysis of the structure of foreign language professional competence of future tourism specialists was carried out, within which the main types of competences were identified and characterized, in particular general, intercultural, linguistic, communicative and discursive. It has been studied that the effectiveness of their formation is determined by a combination of competency-based, communicative-activity and integrated approaches, as well as the use of interactive teaching methods that simulate real professional situations. It has been shown that an important role is played by a phased training model that ensures the gradual development of language and professional skills. The main problems of the formation of foreign language professional competence have been studied and systematized, which are classified into groups: lexical-methodical, lexical-terminological, intercultural, competence-oriented, organizational-pedagogical, individualization, integration, resource-technological and external. It has been shown that these problems manifest themselves in the form of an insufficient level of practical application of knowledge, difficulties in mastering professional vocabulary, limited use of authentic materials, low motivation of students and imperfect organization of the educational process. It has been substantiated that their presence reduces the effectiveness of professional training and complicates the adaptation of future specialists to the requirements of the labor market. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using the proposed classification of problems as a basis for improving the methodology for forming foreign language professional competence in the field of tourism.
