IMPLEMENTATION OF MODERN APPROACHES TO MANAGEMENT OF GENERAL SECONDARY EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The article provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of modern approaches to managing a general secondary education institution, which is becoming particularly relevant in the context of the modernization of the educational space and the introduction of the concept of the New Ukrainian School. The authors emphasize the need to use integrated management approaches that can ensure the effective functioning and development of an educational institution as an open socio-pedagogical system. The content of the process, system, situational and strategic approaches is disclosed, their key characteristics, advantages and limitations are highlighted. The process approach is considered as the basis for streamlining management activities through a clear definition, organization and interconnection of management processes, which contributes to increasing the effectiveness of educational work. The system approach is interpreted as a methodological basis that allows considering a general secondary education institution as a complex, multi-level integrity, interconnected with internal and external factors of influence. The situational approach is defined as a tool for adapting management to the specific conditions of the school’s functioning, which ensures flexibility in making management decisions and taking into account the dynamics of the educational environment. The strategic approach is highlighted as a mechanism for long-term planning of the institution’s development, focused on the formation of competitive advantages, innovation and ensuring the quality of educational services. It is substantiated that the effective implementation of these approaches is possible only under the conditions of their integration and combination in the practice of managerial activities of the head of the educational institution. Such a synergistic approach creates the basis for increasing the professional competence of teachers, forming a favorable educational environment, ensuring the effectiveness of the educational process and strengthening the competitiveness of the educational institution in modern society.
