THE LOGISTICS SUPPORT OF COMPETITIVE ACTIVITIES: MEANING, STRATEGY AND EFFICIENCY

Abstract

Organizing a sporting event is a complex process that requires careful planning and coordination. One of the key aspects of a successful event is logistics, which ensures the efficient management of resources, personnel, and flows of participants and spectators. The article is devoted to the study of the impact of logistical support on the organization and conduct of sports competitions. The article analyzes the main stages of organizing and conducting competitions: preparatory, organizational, competition, and final. The essence of the concept of «logistics» is generalized. The main strategic types of logistics support during the organization and conduct of sports competitions are characterized, namely: transport, material and technical logistics, security and medical logistics, information logistics, food and accommodation logistics, financial and environmental logistics. The importance of assessing and analyzing the impact of logistics processes as a result of collecting feedback from competition participants and staff is noted. Examples of the work of official logistics partners CEVA Logistics and CMA CGM during the organization and holding of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024 are provided. The theoretical and methodological aspects of training coaches in higher education institutions are analyzed. The importance of logistics knowledge in professional coaching activities is emphasized. The main aspects of the importance of logistics in the work of a trainer are determined, including: organization of the educational and training process; material and technical support; logistics of trips and competitions; communication and coordination; use of modern digital technologies for monitoring and management of sports activities. It was noted that the competent application of a logistical approach when organizing sports competitions allows optimizing costs, increasing the efficiency of resource use, and creating conditions for all participants. And the use of modern technologies, such as digital management systems, helps make competitions more organized, safe, and successful.
