LINGUOMENTAL INTERPRETATION OF THE FEMALE IMAGE «SUCCESSFUL WOMAN» ON THE BASIS OF THE LEXICO-SEMANTIC FIELD «PROFESSION» IN UKRAINIAN PROSE OF THE END OF THE XX – BEGINNING OF THE XXI CENTURIES

Abstract

Purposse of the article is to recreate the linguomental model of the female character of a successful woman on the basis of the lexico-semantic field «profession» in the fiction of the end of the ХХth – the beginning of the ХХІst centuries. The following conclusions have been drawn on the basis of the given research. Linguomental interpretation of the images of successful women in the Ukrainian-language fiction of the end of the ХХth – the beginning of the ХХІst centuries is on the verge of interdisciplinary approach within the framework of which the author’s verbalization is actualized in the context of cultural, social and historical development of the Ukrainian people on the boundary of centuries. Linguomental constituent, is actualized in the peculiarities of verbalization of a certain situation created by a woman, but not the fragment of existence she participates in or in the feeling, that she (woman) is able to arouse. Within the framework of theme line «profession», the subconcept «business woman» is found, which consists of a few images: «business-lady», «vender», collective image «female professions», that has several constituents of character (translator, librarian, secretary, activist, animal rights activist, networker, journalist, boss, scientist, creative personality). All of them are parts of the macroconcept «successful woman». Such psychological discreteness has a few advantages for the image of successful woman creation within the framework of the lexico-semantic field «profession» at ontological level. Firstly, it is habitual, as is rooted in the actual public culture of Ukrainians, secondly, it is clear, as the discrete and dynamic is moving, and thirdly – forms ground for the real combinatorics of characteristic units and serves as the technical basis for creation of an average model of the Ukrainian woman of the period under investigation, known as «modern personality». The psychological feature of such woman is that she is generalized. The psychological peculiarity of such a woman is that she is an average representation of a number of personalities, she is the woman who can be everything at the same time. In terms of analytics, this female type is a generalized accumulation but not a synthesis of casual synchronisms.
